Curt C. Barwick

Curt C. Barwick is one of the founding partners of McConnell Barwick LLP.

Prior to joining McConnell Barwick LLP in 1996, Mr. Barwick was General Counsel of DVI Inc., a New York Stock Exchange-listed company. Earlier, he served as a member of the corporate/securities department with the Newport Beach office of Buchalter, Nemer, Fields & Younger and the Los Angeles office of a prominent Southern California firm that was acquired by the international law firm of Baker & McKenzie. Mr. Barwick is the former Co-Chair of the Corporations Committee and Vice Chair of Legislation of the Executive Committee of the Business Law Section of the California State Bar. He presently serves as an Advisor to the Executive Committee of the Business Law Section of the California Lawyers Association.

Education
Mr. Barwick graduated with honors from the University of California, Santa Barbara, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1976, and from the University of California, Los Angeles, with a Master of Arts degree in 1977. He was awarded his Juris Doctor from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 1983.
Memberships
Mr. Barwick is the past Chairman and a current member of the Orange County Bar Association’s Business and Corporate Law and Financial Practice Sections. He also is a member of the American Bar Association (Business Law Sections and the Federal and State (“Blue Sky”) Securities and Private Equity – Venture Capital subcommittees).
